Results from the Secondary Schools Tournament played in Ashburton at the Waireka Club on 3rd April 2012.
The Manager was Raylene Phillips this is her comment on the day.
" The answer to Waireka's prayers - when the day dawned fine and we welcomed 16 teams consisting of 62 players from the Croquet South Canterbury region, with North Otago, South Canterbury and Ashburton schools participating.
Ashburton College - 7 teams, Timaru Girls High 1 team, Timaru Boys High 2 teams, Waitaki Girls 4 teams, Waitaki Boys 2 Teams.
The Competition comprised of 16 teams each with 4 players - this ensured play was continuous with the pair not playing lending much support to the other half - the spirit of competition was immense as you can imagine with youth of this age. Waireka had a mentor on the lawn - one for each game - this worked well and enabled play to be flow freely - no mean feat with double banking and golf croquet.
From the arrival of the players  to the their departure, the day ran like clockwork, thanks largely to the paperwork carried out by the Waireka Club Secretary Sue Lamb as she liased with Bob Pringle [the Regional Sports Director for the Aoraki Secondary Schools Sports] over the finer details."
